[ARCHIVED] Citizen's Police Academy

Police Academy Fyer

We are excited to announce the return of the Citizen’s Police Academy to our community! The purpose of this program is to give our community members a better understanding of the role and capabilities of their police department and to give participants a look at the “day to day” operations of their police department.

Presentations will be given on a wide range of law enforcement topics, along with demos, tours of local law enforcement related facilities and opportunities for practical application of some of the tools being used by your police department.

Classes will be held on Thursday evenings, from 6-9pm starting August 17th 2023 and ending October 12th 2023. Most classes will be held at the Sharonville Police Department, with the exception of evenings where tours of other facilities have been scheduled. Participants are expected to provide their own transportation to and from all classes.

Due to limited capacity, you must submit an application for consideration for participation. You must be at least 18 to apply. Priority will be given to applicants who are Sharonville residents and business owners, followed by those who work in Sharonville and then all others. A criminal background check will be done on all applicants and the results will be taken into consideration prior to selection. Applications must be turned in by July 17th 2023. Applications are available at Sharonville Police Department located at 3639 E Kemper Rd or by contacting Officer Aaron Hayes at 513-563-1147 or by email at ahayes@cityofsharonville.com.
