Tata Consultancy Services signed a lease for an additional 40,000 square feet of space as the growing IT services firm plans to hire hundreds of additional employees in Greater Cincinnati.

Tata signed a long-term lease for the top two floors of One Crowne Point in
Sharonville, located at 1 Crowne Point Court.

Tata Consultancy Services will occupy the top two floors of One Crowne Point in Sharonville.

Officials with Tata Consultancy Services did not immediately respond to requests for comment.

Chris Xeil Lyons, economic development director for the city of Sharonville, said Tata Consultancy Services is expected to create about 300 new jobs within three years.

The incoming addition of 300 office workers is viewed as a boon for Sharonville’s Northern Lights District. The district, which is home to the Sharonville Convention Center, reaches from Triangle Office Park near Interstate 275 on the northwest side to One and Two Crowne Point on the southeast side along I-75.

“These jobs will enhance our district’s demographics and spur demand more full-
service restaurants,” Lyons said.

Tata will occupy the entire third and fourth floors of One Crowne Point, which
Neyer Properties Inc. acquired in 2012 along with Two Crowne Point.

Since purchasing the buildings, Neyer Properties renovated the lobbies, restrooms and common corridors. The Evanston-based real estate developer also installed new monument signs and painted the buildings. The addition of Tata takes One Crowne Point to 92 percent occupancy.

When I reported on Tata signing a lease for 25,000 square feet of space at the Ivy Pointe Office building in Union Township in 2013, the broker involved in that deal said Tata had outgrown its headquarters space in Milford. Tata has more than 800 employees in Clermont County.

Wayne Hach with Newmark Grubb Knight Frank represented Tata in the deal, while Doug Altemuehle and Darin Armbruster, both also with Newmark Grubb Knight Frank, represented the landlord.

Tata Consultancy Services is part of Tata Group, one of India’s largest industrial conglomerates. It provides IT services, consulting and business solutions to the banking, insurance, health care, construction and manufacturing industries in addition to others.

TCS, which had revenue of $15.5 billion for the fiscal year ending March 31, has more than 324,000 IT consultants in 46 countries.

Demeropolis covers commercial real estate and development.
