Services Performed:

• Licenses and inspects all food service operations, vending locations, supermarkets, motels, public swimming pools and spas, infectious waste generators, mobile home parks, and tattoo and body piercing establishments.
• Investigates nuisance complaints and issues correction orders when required.
• Investigates all reported animal bites.
• Monitors household waste water disposal systems.
• Provides educational services for food service and swimming pool operators.
• Offers health education for individuals and groups.
• Offers home visits to teach and provide guidance in personal health care.
• Provides health screenings (blood pressure monitoring, TB skin and cholesterol tests by appointment).
• Provides education and guidance for families with communicable diseases.
• Provides school health activities for St. Michael's School.
• Offers information on immunization needs for children and adults.
• Conducts flu vaccine clinics in the fall.
