Community Services Division
The Sharonville Police Department Community Service Division is comprised of a Community Resource Officer, a full-time D.A.R.E. officer, and two school resource officers.
Community Resource Officer
The Community Resource Officer is responsible for a variety of tasks. This officer organizes and coordinates Neighborhood Watch programs, provides security and safety presentations to businesses and civic groups, conducts security surveys for residences and businesses, and conducts Citizen Police Academies throughout the year. This officer also assists in mediating neighbor disputes and attempts to resolve quality of life violations such as barking dog and juvenile complaints; to name a few. If you would like more information or would like to speak with the Community Resource Officer, call 563-1147 and ask to speak with the Community resource Officer.
D.A.R.E.
The Sharonville Police Department supports the D.A.R.E program and it is instructed by both the Community Resource Officer and the Administrative Sergeant. These officers are trained to provide the D.A.R.E. curriculum to students in elementary schools located in Sharonville. The D.A.R.E. (Drug Abuse Resistance Education) curriculum teaches students how to resist peer pressure and how to avoid the evils of illicit drug usage. This nationally renowned program has been well received in the Princeton City School District and is very popular among the students.
School Resource Officers
The Sharonville Police Department has partnered with the Princeton City School District and Scarlet Oaks Vocational School to provide uniformed police officers on a full-time basis. One officer is responsible for the Princeton High and Junior High Schools and one officer is assigned to the Scarlet Oaks Campus of the Great Oaks Vocational School District. These officers have received special training to deal with incidents and offenses on school campuses. Along with protecting the students and staff and enforcing laws, the school resource officers (SRO's) participate in many safety programs throughout the school year. The officers are active with drinking and driving education, Prom Promise, and anti-drug education.
